A Tier IV data center in Mumbai partnered with a global GPU manufacturer to offer GPU-as-a-Service and host India’s fastest AI supercomputer. This led to a significant increase in heat output, with GPU racks reaching up to 50kW. Legrand deployed 192 ColdLogik RDHx units using air-assisted liquid cooling to manage this heat efficiently. The solution achieved a PUE of 1.35, minimized infrastructure footprint, and enabled scalable, energy-efficient operations. The entire deployment was completed in just 45 days, showcasing Legrand’s commitment to agile, future-ready data center solutions.
- Location: Navi Mumbai, India
- Objective: To support the deployment of India’s fastest AI supercomputer by upgrading the data center’s cooling infrastructure to handle high-density GPU workloads efficiently, without overhauling existing infrastructure.
- Products: ColdLogik Rear Door Heat Exchangers (RDHx) by USystems, a Legrand brand: 138 units of 42U (50kW cooling capacity), 24 units of 42U (30kW cooling capacity), 30 units of 48U (20kW cooling capacity)
Despite project's complexity, Legrand team provided full electrical and ELV deployment within scheduled window, completing installation across 66 rooms, public spaces, and service areas with zero major delays
