Nature has thrived\nand will survive, long after humankind ceases to exist. The least we can do is\nmake the most of the time we have with nature \u2013 if not by giving back, than at\nleast taking less from Her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Legrand,\neco-consciousness is at the very core of our being. One of the primary tools\nembracing sustainability is our Product Environmental Profiles (PEP). These are\nEnvironmental Product Declarations (EPDs) which examine the environmental\nimpact of a product throughout its life-cycle \u2013 from design to manufacture to\nrecycling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The intent\nbehind creating these declarations is to encourage manufacturers to critically\nexamine the products they are creating, using, and promoting. With this\ninformation, these manufacturers can either better the existing products basis\nthe environmental declarations, or upgrade them in ways that are better for\nboth people, and our planet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Product\nEnvironment Profiles (PEPs) are a feature of the nCompass\u2122 Systems suitethat\nhas been developed in collaboration between Legrand and Superior Essex. They\u2019ve\nbeen utilized effectively by the building owners and construction leads who\nseek to contribute to a sustainable environment. A responsible attitude towards the environment garners\ncredit points for the green building rating systems for the Leadership in\nEnergy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, as also for Green Globes\nand the Living Building Challenge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Locally, we\nare proud to be able to give an example of multiple product ranges that comply with the EPDs \u2013 products and ranges like Arteor\u2019s switches and\nsockets, the Lyncus switch, Mylinc switches and sockets, and Myrius switches\nand sockets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One small step towards the environment, a giant leap towards preserving the planet \u2013 this is how we\u2019re consciously designing and promoting a healthier, more natural approach to living a fuller life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.legrand.co.in\/smart-spaces\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/ORT-PEP-Process_600X753.gif\">\n<p style=\"font-size:12px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buildinggreen.com\/\">Photo from BuildingGreen.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We live in a space and time where it has become absolutely necessary to consider the consequences of our actions, on the environment around us.
